My Art Portfolio
Drawing inspiration from different world mythologies, video games, manga and anime, I create beasts and beings using traditional media. My main specialism is in drawing line art.
I am also a self-taught brush calligrapher in the art of Japanese calligraphy. I practise consistently and enthusiastically in order to seek better a understanding of Japanese culture.

Yokai
A series of twenty-eight drawings of creatures and beings from Japanese folklore. Produced using ink on paper. Sakura Pigma and Pentel brush pens were used for the line work. Colours were applied using a variety of methods, from blotting to wiping using cotton pads, buds and Winsor & Newton Promarkers.
Greek Myths & Legends
I’ve been fortunate that I have had the opportunity to travel and explore different Greek Islands such as Corfu, Rhodes, Santorini and Crete. During my times there, I have found the myths and legends of those islands both fascinating and wonderfully dark. Inspired by the stories and visual depictions of powerful gods, goddesses and monsters, I created thirty-one ink drawings of what I’ve researched and discovered.
Dragons and Serpents
From loose watercolour drawings to detailed ink illustrations, there is no denying that dragons capture my imagination. I have drawn a variety of these scaly beasts over the past few years, inspired both by ancient stories to popular culture. I have always enjoyed exploring the idea of what a dragon can look like.
Pop Culture and Fan Art
As a kid, I liked to sketch and draw my favourite fictional characters, and I still do! From monsters that feature in the sci-fi tv series Doctor Who, to popular video game characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Pokémon, I enjoy exploring these characters personalities through their poses and expressions.
Japanese Calligraphy
With an interest in Japanese and a love for using ink, I took up Shodō as a means to explore both through each brushstroke. From handmade cards to scrolls, I have created a variety of pieces that expresses mindfulness and a joy for the Japanese culture.
